The story of Moses and the Burning Bush is found in Exodus 3:1-12. While tending his father-in-law’s flock near Mount Horeb, Moses sees a bush that is on fire but not consumed. As he approaches, God speaks to him, calling his name and instructing him to remove his sandals, for he is on holy ground.

God reveals His plan to rescue the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and calls Moses to lead them. Moses hesitates, questioning his ability, but God assures him, saying, “I will be with you.” This encounter marks the beginning of Moses’ mission as Israel’s deliverer.
