The story of Noah’s Ark is found in Genesis 6-9. God sees the wickedness of humanity and decides to send a great flood to cleanse the earth. However, Noah, a righteous man, finds favor with God.
God instructs Noah to build an ark and take his family and pairs of every animal inside. When the floodwaters come, they remain safe for 40 days and nights. After the waters recede, Noah sends out a dove, which eventually returns with an olive leaf, signaling dry land.
Once they leave the ark, Noah offers a sacrifice to God, and God establishes a covenant, promising never to destroy the earth by flood again, symbolized by the rainbow.
